Court Family | Day in the Life

I love this image because it’s a fleeting image that was only there for a split second. Every time I look at it I smile.  But is it perfect?  No.

The focus is on the binoculars instead of the eyes, but in this case I can live with it.  In this case the moment of a child playing with her favorite toy is more important than any technical issues.

Amber and Greg | Waterloo, Ontario

This is one of my favorites from last season. Amber and Greg were married in August at Grey Silo in Waterloo Ontario.

This is Amber’s niece and one of the flower girls. I love that she is pretending with the “ring” off of the wedding favors. I can’t help but imagine what is going through her head, “what will my wedding be like”, “who will I marry?”. I feel that there is so much involved in this image, and the fact that she is alone in what was such a busy room. She is alone with her thoughts – and I kinda like that.

Janice and Errol | Kingston, Ontario

This is Janice on her wedding day, getting ready at the Hochelaga Inn in Kingston. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much time with a Bride before her wedding, but Janice was as cool as a cucumber. I second shot this wedding with Ben Benvie at the Renaissance event venue in Kingston, Ontario. It was a lovely and fun wedding, mostly because Janice and Errol are fun people. What a party!

Weir Family | Toronto Family Portraits

toronto family photography

Okay, it’s not a wedding image but I still love this one.  This is from a Day in the Life Session that I did with the very first couple that ever hired me to photograph a wedding, Tyler & Laura.  Little Madeline is 7 months old and cute as a button. You can see more pictures over on my blog here.
